Many parents and caretakers of a child with autism have never been able to travel separate from their child. My quality overnight respite care is an opportunity for some time away for a few days. During my stay with your child, I prioritize their health and routines to ensure a sense of normalcy.

I understand the dread that many parents feel upon returning to their child when they know the temporary caretaker has not prioritized the child’s routine and behavioral needs. I work hard while I stay with your child, so that when you return, your home will be the same (or better than) you left it.

how it works:

To provide the best care possible, I include a 3-Step Preparation & Planning Package process before your getaway.

Step 1: Family Introduction Session

  • Meet with your family and child in your home.
  • Learn about daily routines, preferences, and comfort strategies.
  • Begin building trust and familiarity.

Step 2: Practice Care Session

  • Provide care for a short period (2–3 hours).
  • Follow routines closely, introduce activities your child enjoys.
  • Observe and learn how your child responds.

Step 3: Extended Care Session

  • Stay with your child for a longer period (half-day or evening).
  • Practice handling transitions, meals, bedtime, or other key parts of the routine.
  • Fine-tune strategies to ensure a smooth longer stay.

Only after this preparation process will I provide multi-day respite care, ensuring both your child and your family feel comfortable and confident.

You can feel confident during your time away that lines of communication are open and you will receive daily updates on your child’s well-being.
